Before this house became an unassuming office space, it was an isolated area for those with incurable contagious diseases. It later became a boarding house for railroad workers until they could find permanent housing.

One day the husband of a young couple, who lived on the third floor, died when he slipped, and a train car ran over his legs. His wife died of heartbreak shortly after the incident and her spirit remains to wait for her husband’s return.
