You have Reached Fort Calgary
Keep an eye out for shady characters...
In Fort Calgary’s days as an NWMP post, officers were occupied with stamping out the whiskey trade, mitigating conflicts, and mistreating indigenous peoples. In 1873 an officer named Earnest Reginold got caught up in a particular conflict involving a smuggler who was found carrying 60 bottles of whiskey tucked into the bottom compartment of his wagon. Reginold was fatally stabbed by the smuggler who was taken down by another officer shortly after.
Sightings of Reginold are often reported of him riding his horse through the grounds at night, and antique whiskey bottles are said to appear without explanation.
