You Have Arrived at Hunt House

Enjoy your stay, it might be forever...

Hunt House is the oldest building in Calgary in its original location, originating as housing for employees at a local Hudson’s Bay post. William Hunt lived alone in this small house and in his free time, he enjoyed chopping down the surrounding trees on his property for lumber. One day while chopping wood in the rain, a nearby tree was struck by lightning that fatally injured him.

To this day, his spirit lives on in the small house and reports claim to have seen a soaking wet figure carrying an axe through the area.
